LIV Golf, the league funded by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, held a tournament at Trump National Doral from April 4 to 6, 2025. Trump flew to the club on April 3 and attended a LIV Golf dinner there that evening, according to the White House digest and local reporting; on the flight he told reporters he would speak to the players and that he was involved in efforts to merge LIV with the PGA Tour. Doral hosted a LIV tournament every year from the league's 2022 launch through 2025, GolfMagic reported.
