What happened
His 2020 changes did not last. An April 9, 2025 White House fact sheet said that "twice in the last 12 years" administrations had put out "massive regulations" on showerheads, called the Biden-era definition "a staggering 13,000 words," and announced a new order directing the Energy Secretary to rescind the rule and return to the 1992 statute's meaning of "showerhead." On May 9, 2025, he issued a memorandum titled "Rescission of Useless Water Pressure Standards."
