What happened
Rogers had co-written a Times article on signs of fatigue and aging in Trump's schedule. A Times spokesperson said the reporting was accurate and that 'name-calling and personal insults' did not change that. CNN counted it as the third time in recent weeks he had insulted a female reporter in personal terms. Trump has used 'ugly, both inside and out' for others, including a male rival in an October 30, 2025 post.
