Threatened to take away U.S.-born comedian Rosie O'Donnell's citizenship, calling her 'a Threat to Humanity'
“Because of the fact that Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

What happened
O'Donnell, born in New York, had moved to Ireland after the 2024 election and criticized Trump's response to the July 2025 Texas floods. Legal scholars including Georgetown's Steve Vladeck called the threat 'patently unconstitutional,' noting a president cannot revoke a native-born citizen's citizenship. Trump repeated it on September 3, 2025 ('She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!'). The feud dates to 2006, when he called her a 'pig' and 'slob.'
