What happened
This was the terminus of a chain that began with 'something terrific' in 2015, ran through repeated 'two weeks' promises in 2017, and produced five separate 'weeks away' pledges in 2020. No replacement plan followed the debate. The administration's 'Great Healthcare Plan', released January 15, 2026, was a brief conceptual outline requiring congressional action, which Forbes noted was still not more than concepts.
