What happened
In February 2025 Attorney General Pam Bondi said the client list was 'sitting on my desk'; a DOJ and FBI memo in July 2025 then concluded there was no client list and no further disclosures were warranted, and Trump called the story 'pretty boring stuff' and a Democratic 'hoax.' He reversed on November 16, 2025, told House Republicans to vote for release, and signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act on November 19, 2025. Releases remained partial and contested into September 2026. House Democrats accused Fox of deceptively editing the original 2024 broadcast to cut his hesitation.
