What happened

The National Archives published just over 60,000 pages on March 18, 2025 — well short of the 80,000 promised — and many documents had been released before with redactions still in place. The dump also exposed hundreds of living people's Social Security numbers, an error the Archives spent weeks remediating. RFK and MLK records followed in April-July 2025, the MLK release over the King family's objection.
