What happened
Every Trump budget proposed reductions. The fiscal 2021 budget released February 10, 2020 proposed roughly $850 billion less in Medicare spending, about $900 billion less in Medicaid, and about $30 billion less in Social Security disability spending over ten years. The administration also approved state Medicaid work-requirement waivers, which PolitiFact cited in rating the Medicaid pledge broken.
