What happened
LIV Golf held its New York event at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey beginning August 6, 2026; the league had confirmed the venue on January 23, 2026 after dropping Trump National Doral from its schedule. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and LIV's former board chairman, stood alongside Trump ahead of the final round on August 9, Front Office Sports reported.
