What happened
Jared Kushner said in a podcast interview reported in December 2024 that Affinity Partners had secured an additional $1.5 billion from the Qatar Investment Authority and Lunate, an Abu Dhabi-based investment firm, both existing investors. He said talks began in February 2024 and concluded before the November election, and that investors agreed to the commitments regardless of the outcome. He said the firm had raised the money early so that it would not need to raise capital during the next four years. Reuters reported that the injection helped lift Affinity's assets under management to $4.8 billion at the end of 2024, from $3 billion a year earlier, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission that list Kushner as sole owner.
