What happened
He repeated the warning to business leaders in India on March 2, 2020 ("if I don't win you're going to see a crash like you've never seen before"). He lost the 2020 election, 306 electoral votes to 232. No such crash followed the transfer of power; U.S. stock indexes went on to set record highs under his successor in January 2024, and Trump then claimed credit for them.
