What the record showed
On February 10, 2016 PolitiFact rated his statement "I'm self-funding my own campaign" Half True: by the end of 2015 he had put in nearly $13 million of the campaign's $19.4 million, but about two-thirds of that was loans he could recoup, and roughly 34 percent of the money came from individual donors. In June 2016 NPR reported his fundraising lagged far behind Hillary Clinton's.
