What the record showed
A New York Times analysis updated January 20, 2021 counted 112 environmental rollbacks under the administration (98 completed, 14 in progress) covering climate, clean air, water, wildlife and toxic chemicals. On January 9, 2020 he proposed rewriting NEPA regulations to set a presumptive two-year limit on environmental impact statements, citing a Council on Environmental Quality finding that the average statement took 4½ years.
