What the record showed
Tapper's question was why voters should trust him when his own companies brought in foreign workers instead of hiring Americans. In July 2017, with him in office, his Mar-a-Lago club applied for visas to hire 70 foreign workers (15 housekeepers, 20 cooks and 35 servers) for October 2017 to May 2018, and Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida applied for six cooks. The H-2B cap was temporarily increased in 2017 under DHS Secretary John Kelly.
