What happened
Trump made the remarks to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush on September 16, 2005, before a guest appearance on 'Days of Our Lives.' On the same tape he described a pass at a married woman: 'I moved on her like a bitch.' The Washington Post published the recording on October 7, 2016, a month before the election. That day Trump called it 'locker room banter' and said Bill Clinton had 'said far worse' to him. In an October 8 video he said, 'I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize,' and he apologized again at the October 9 debate. In a late-2022 deposition in E. Jean Carroll's lawsuit, asked whether the statements were true, he said, 'historically, that's true with stars.'
