What happened
In an April 2005 interview promoting his pageants, Trump told Stern that as the owner he could go backstage before a show while contestants were getting dressed. CNN's KFile republished the audio in October 2016. Around the same time, former contestants told BuzzFeed News and other outlets that he had walked into dressing rooms, and campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks called those accounts 'totally false.' In the same 2005 interview, asked whether he had slept with contestants, he said: 'It could be a conflict of interest.'
