Asked CBS reporter Nancy Cordes 'Are you a stupid person?' when she questioned his account of Afghan vetting
“Are you a stupid person? Because they came into, on a plane along with thousands of other people that shouldn't be here. And you're just asking questions 'cause you're a stupid person.”

What happened
Cordes asked why Trump blamed the Biden administration for the November 26 shooting of two National Guard members in Washington, given an inspector general report on vetting of Afghan evacuees; the suspect's asylum had been approved in 2025, under Trump's administration, outlets reported. Trump called her 'stupid' three times, Newsweek reported. The exchange followed his insults to reporters Catherine Lucey, Mary Bruce and Katie Rogers.
