What happened
Trump leaned into his microphone and cut in while Clinton was saying her Social Security contribution would rise, 'as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it.' She kept answering without acknowledging him. Pundits from both parties called it one of his worst moments, and #nastywoman spread on social media. The next night, at the Al Smith charity dinner in New York, he joked: 'last night, I called Hillary a nasty woman.'
