What happened
After Trump asked how to stop migrants, an audience member shouted 'shoot them.' Trump paused, smiled as the crowd laughed, and made the Panhandle remark. Snopes later rated the incident as accurately reported. After the August 3, 2019, El Paso shooting, critics pointed back to the exchange.
