What happened
Carrier received up to $7 million in Indiana incentives to keep about 1,070 positions, roughly 300 of which were office jobs never slated to move. The company proceeded with moving its fan coil lines to Monterrey, Mexico, laying off about 340 workers in July 2017 and about 215 more in January 2018, roughly 500 jobs in total.
