What happened
This one largely held. On October 3, 2025, just before the deadline, Hamas agreed to release all remaining hostages and hand Gaza's administration to independent technocrats, while refusing to disarm. Trump accepted, told Israel to stop bombing, and the ceasefire and hostage-release phase proceeded in October 2025.
