Threatened to 'spill the beans' on Ted Cruz's wife, then retweeted an unflattering photo of her beside Melania
“Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”

What happened
The threat followed an ad from the anti-Trump super PAC Make America Awesome that used a GQ photo of Melania Trump. The Cruz campaign said it had no connection to the PAC. Late on March 23, Trump retweeted a supporter's side-by-side of an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz and a glamour shot of Melania, captioned 'A picture is worth a thousand words.' Ted Cruz called him a 'sniveling coward' and said 'Leave Heidi the hell alone.' Trump defended the image at a CNN town hall on March 29 ('I thought it was a nice picture of Heidi'). On Fox News Sunday on April 3 he said 'I could have done without the retweet,' and he told Maureen Dowd that 'it was a mistake' and that 'if I had to do it again, I wouldn't have sent it.'
